Absolutely stunning citrine and diamond earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! These wonderful earrings are made of 14kt yellow gold and are accented with large citrines at their center. Each earring begins with a smooth gold sphere surmount which attaches to a simple earring wire. Dangling from the surmount is a shield-like link with a faceted citrine stone resting in its center. Each citrine has lovely coloring, with hues of orange and brown. The citrines hold 6 rose cut diamonds that are set in a silver setting that forms the shape of a cross. The gold frame displays lovely beadwork around its border. These earrings are simply marvelous and would make a stunning addition to any collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang 1 7/8" long, are 7/8" at their widest point, and have a depth of approximately 1/4".
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or wires. All of the diamonds and both citrine stones are intact.?
